        This is a memory of pure, unfiltered childhood. Looking at the older girl in my other painting, I wondered about the child she once was. This piece is the answer—a snapshot of that same gentle spirit years earlier, standing in a sun-dappled garden, holding her rabbit with the serious, protective love that only children have.

        I wanted the background to feel like a distant memory, so I painted the flowers and light in a loose, impressionistic style, while keeping the girl’s face and her heavy braid in sharper focus. It is a nostalgic art piece that captures the fleeting magic of youth. The Verdant tones of the garden contrast with the soft pinks and whites of her dress, creating a joyful, yet slightly melancholic atmosphere.
