         I stood on the pier that evening, watching the masts dissolve into the golden haze, and I realized that at sunset, everything—even heavy wood and steel—becomes light and air.

        There is a specific moment during the golden hour when the sun dissolves the solidity of the world. In this painting, I focused entirely on that atmospheric phenomenon. The boats are not painted as rigid structures but as silhouettes melting into the haze of the evening light. The true subject here is the atmosphere itself.

          I used a technique rooted in Luminism but reimagined through a contemporary lens to create the glowing effect. The sky and water merge in a warm, enveloping mist, achieved through subtle scumbling and soft edges..
